Had a very pleasant experience with this hotel: Location: absolutely perfect, was within 10 mins walk (if not less) than anywhere I needed to be, including airport pickup-drop off location; museums; and excursions pickups. Food: only had breakfast a few times (€15.50 is a little steep, I feel, but it’s the capital, so expected), and dinner once. Very satisfactory. Room: very spacious bed! Could have been luck, but I was located the furthest away (top floor, right on the corner), which some may feel is an inconvenience, but I’m a private person and enjoyed not listening to neighbours. Upside to room: water pressure and temperature very strong; bath included (in the one I was given, unsure about other rooms), bed size, modest lighting. No air con, but considering it’s March, it wasn’t needed. Downside to room: 4 light switches, and one doesn’t work. I’m still wondering what it was meant to be for! I was also right next to an extractor from outside which hummed all night. Didn’t bother me, I like white noise, but I’d imagine that might annoy another guest. Radiator didn’t work, but I had layers, so wasn’t fussed. There also wasn’t a fridge, which would have come in handy. The other part that bothered me a little (and knowing this is very petty), but the shampoo/body wash bottles were bolted to the wall, at shower level. I used the bath most nights, and had to awkwardly scramble out to retrieve some. I’d imagine if there were a guest with accessible needs, they could provide loose bottles. I don’t have those needs, so I made do. WiFi really not great unfortunately. I was constantly being disconnected and had to use data roaming instead. Network also unsecured. Room also provided a safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Despite other reviews, I had plenty of storage space for clothes. Hotel lobby also kept my case safe before check in, and even after I checked out so I can wander around before heading off to the airport.

Everyone was very helpful in the hotel, friendly & courteous. The breakfast was great, good selection & plenty of it. The rooms are a great size, bed massive! Very clean and towels changed every day. Even though there was live entertainment we hardly heard it if we were in the room but it ended at a reasonable hour anyway. Didn't eat evening meal this time but have had food there before and it is very good. Location is excellent just off O'Connell Street so very central and great for going out & about

Sarah on reception was so helpful. Her knowledge of the area was a great help to us on our first trip to Dublin. A clean and comfortable room which was well furnished to a good standard. The Arlington is beautiful , its ornate entrance guarded by two lions, the front doors are stately and the general interior has an elegant and classic charm. The large chandeliers adding to the ambiance.

The Arlington Hotel is in an excellent location for visiting places of interest in the city. The staff are friendly, welcoming, helpful and efficient. The bedroom was very comfortable and the tea/coffee facilities were of good quality. The breakfast was excellent and the manager in the breakfast room seated us quickly. She made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our breakfast.

Janet

The room was a good size for four people, and the beds were very comfortable. There was unlimited coffee and plenty of windows. The location is excellent, close to the historic center, a supermarket, and many restaurants. The hotel has a restaurant with live music every night. It’s very lively. We had a lot of fun. We only stayed for one night but enjoyed it a lot.
